Bovi-Shield GOLD FP 5 VL5 is a powerful multi-disease vaccine designed to protect healthy beef and dairy cattle. Injection Site Guidance: Follow Beef Quality Assurance guidelines by giving the vaccine in the muscular region of the neck.

Primary Vaccination

Initial Dose Timing: Administer a single 2-mL dose to all breeding cows and heifers about one month pre-breeding.

Follow-Up Vaccination: Give a single dose of Vibrio/Leptoferm-5® three to four weeks after the initial vaccination.

Precautions

Pregnant Cows Warning: Do not vaccinate pregnant cows unless they received Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or PregGuard GOLD FP previously.

Nursing Calves Warning: Don’t vaccinate calves that are nursing pregnant cows unless their mothers were vaccinated within the last year.

Age Restriction: Do not vaccinate calves under three months old to prevent improper immune response or adverse reactions.

Heifer Safety Requirement: Heifers must receive at least two doses of Bovi-Shield GOLD FP or PregGuard GOLD FP prebreeding.

Second Dose Timing: Administer the second heifer dose approximately thirty days before breeding to ensure safety during pregnancy.
