How to Use

Directions for Use

Vaccinate Healthy Cattle: Only administer Bovi-Shield GOLD® 5 to healthy cattle for effective protection.

Rehydrate Vaccine Properly: Aseptically mix freeze-dried vaccine with the provided sterile diluent, ensuring thorough solution consistency.

Administer Correctly: Give 2 mL of rehydrated vaccine subcutaneously (SC) or intramuscularly (IM) in neck.

Follow BQA Guidelines: Always inject SC or IM in the neck region following Beef Quality Assurance standards.

Primary Vaccination Dose: Administer a single 2-mL dose to healthy cattle for initial immunization.

Calf Revaccination Timing: Calves vaccinated before six months should be revaccinated after six months to ensure immunity.

Annual Revaccination: For continued protection, revaccinate cattle annually using a single 2-mL dose following label directions.

Pregnant Cattle Warning: Avoid using Bovi-Shield GOLD® 5 in pregnant cattle unless prior vaccination protocol is followed.

Prebreeding Vaccination Required: Ensure cows received BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP vaccines before breeding.

Calves Nursing Restriction: Do not vaccinate calves nursing pregnant cows unless their dams were vaccinated.

Two Doses Needed: Make sure heifers get at least two doses, with the second given at least 30 days before breeding.

Protect Against Risks: Giving the vaccine at the wrong time can increase the risk of abortion, follow the instructions carefully to keep your herd safe.
